The Virtuous Hearts Foundation was created in 2007, while Jan was expecting. She met many young mothers who were alone in their pregnancy and needed baby items, etc. She bought diapers, baby bottles, clothes, strollers, and other items for them out of her own pocket. Then she started asking for donations, and the community answered. We did our first Toy & Clothing Drive in 2007 with the help of Minister Dierdre Wallace-Hines and Mr. Lowes Moore, the Director of The Boys & Girls Club in MT. Vernon, NY.

Our Non-Profit Family

We’re a group of passionate individuals who share the same purpose: to serve and uplift our community. What started as a small initiative has grown into a movement of love, creativity, and unity. Over time, we’ve become more than just a team — we’ve become a family, thriving on connection, laughter, and the joy of giving back. We're a big, goofy family - full of ideas, surprises, and energy. From the very beginning, our diversity has been our strength. We come from different walks of life, yet we’re bound by the same heart for helping others. Every idea, every event, and every fundraiser we create is fueled by our excitement to make a difference and see the impact ripple through the community.

Our vision:

To create a hub where homeless families can find the proper resources and shelter they so desperately need. A space where youths can dare to dream, learn to be self-sufficient, and create a better future for themselves and their family. A relaxing space for classes and workshops to help our community discover their own talents and purpose.
